Loci.Lux is a project that stemmed out of a brief from my MRes Information Environments program. The aim was to produce a model of myself, or something relating to myself. I chose to create a model of my home.

To do this I created a torch which literally reflected the contents of my home. I built a digital pico projector and an iPhone. I created an app for the phone which contained a 360 degree image of the inside of my flat and which responded to the phones compass, allowing the image to rotate as the phone was moved. The app then communicated with the projector, beaming the image onto any surface the torch was pointed at.

Someone using the torch could therefore explore the inside of my flat by just moving the torch around.
